Personal Evangelism and the holistic participation of all the members of the Body of Christ in church life (1 Corinthians 12:28), has been the two main areas of emphasis during Rev. Landmann’s first 26 years in full-time ministry.
A divine intervention of God, during 1976, led to his involvement with the EVANGELISM EXPLOSION INTERNATIONAL ministry and was the Reverend fortunate to become the father of EEIII South Africa.
Throughout his working relationship with Dr. D. James Kennedy and the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church (CRPC) in Fort Lauderdale, USA, regular discussions on the aspect of discipleship took prominence. EEIII was, implemented in 223 countries by 1997, and effective worldwide in its objective to win souls for Christ and the training of soul winners.
Rev. Landmann however, was confronted with the further challenge which Paul, put to the Church in his epistle to the Romans. Romans 8:29 emphatically states that, according to God’s divine purpose, each member of the Church has to become “Christ-like”. This is also the reason why we have the five-fold ministry of Ephesians 4:11-13. “To come to the measure of the full stature of Christ”.
During a 15-year “desert experience”, Rev. Landmann received the mandate from God to bring “The Christ method of discipleship” to the church. In Discipleship the focus is on a father-son relationship that echoes the relationship between God, the Father and God, the Son through Fellowship, Communication and Interaction.
This revelation knowledge came at a great cost as the Reverend also encountered severe tribulation and economic difficulties. God revealed to him that the Church is going to experience the same. During that time there will be a need to move towards a dimension of creative power and applying these biblical principles, to enable the Church to be victorious.
