“And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.” Matt. 25:6
The Kingdom of heaven shall be likened unto ten virgins – five of them were wise, five of them were foolish – and the question stands: ‘Who made the midnight cry?’
There were a third grouping present in the parable of the ten virgins – the group that was already inside!
EKD Genesis as a Christ-centred ministry, is regarded as a ministry that is part of the Midnight Cry. The ministry is based in Pretoria, South Africa and as a voluntary association it functions as an Apostolic-Prophetic Ministry in a renewed and reformed way in the Body of Christ, over church, social, political and international borders.
It is our purpose to establish an infrastructure and give direction, where leadership can be identified and equipped, so that the Bride-Bridegroom Relationship can be fully manifested in the Time Dimension.
EKD stands for “Evangelistic Kindred Discipleship” and Genesis means “a new beginning”. The three words – Evangelistic; Kindred; Discipleship – cover all three dimensions of ministry. In the first dimension we reach, preach and teach. The Gospel is presented, assurance of salvation is received and a clear understanding of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ is accomplished. (1 John 5: 20)
In the second dimension a true follower of Christ is in his daily walk of life exposed to the manner of Christ-like behaviour. It is a process of sharing life experiences within the context of daily living.
In the third dimension we enable multiplication after the same “KIND”, receiving the same Kindred Spirit of Christ (the firstborn) and becoming the Brotherhood of Christ. (Romans 8:29.)
